About Duvet Nomade

A sleeping bag specialist, not just another brand

Duvet Nomade is an independent French boutique, specializing exclusively in sleeping bags for trekking, bivouacking, and mountaineering. No tents, no stoves, no distractions, just outdoor sleeping gear.

The shop was born from a simple observation: finding the right sleeping bag in France remains a journey fraught with ambiguity. Inflated "comfort" ratings, incomplete technical specifications, and sponsored comparisons—the market does little to help one make an informed choice. Duvet Nomade exists to bring clarity where marketing reigns supreme.

Each product sheet details the comfort, limit, and extreme temperatures according to EN 13537 or ISO 23537 standards when available. The fill power is indicated in cuin, the weight is verified, and the conditions of actual use are specified. When data is not certified, it is stated. When a model is not suitable for a specific use, this is also stated.

What guides each sheet, each piece of advice

Three principles applied to every page of the site.

🎯
Factual accuracy
Zero marketing superlatives. The temperatures, weights, and materials are those from the manufacturer's data sheets, verified and presented with their limitations.
🔍
Technical transparency
EN 13537 and ISO 23537 standards explained. When a sleeping bag is not certified, the product sheet mentions it. No ambiguity about what the customer is buying.
🤝
Help with choices
The goal of each fact sheet and guide is to reduce the risk of error. To steer towards the right bag based on actual use, not to push for a purchase.

Why specialize in a single product

A generalist outdoor site treats sleeping bags as just one item among fifty. A standard product sheet, a basic price filter, and the visitor is left to fend for themselves. Duvet Nomade works the opposite way: every bag is documented with complete technical data, placed in its usage context, and compared against relevant alternatives.

The selection covers brands like Aegismax and Naturehike, manufacturers recognized in the ultralight trekking community for their price-to-performance ratio. The product sheets specify the standards applied (EN 13537, ISO 23537), the known limitations of each model, and the conditions under which the advertised temperatures are realistic.

The field guide (quiz) and blog articles complement the product pages. The goal is not to sell at any cost, but to reduce the risk of choosing the wrong product. A customer who buys a bag suited to their actual needs will not return it and will sleep well the following night.
