Durable synthetic insulation for camping and vanlife
The Naturehike MJ300 warm sleeping bag meets the needs of static nights where bulk is secondary to pure comfort. Unlike down, its synthetic filling retains excellent insulation capacity even when exposed to high levels of ambient humidity, making it a pragmatic choice for tent camping, nights in a camper van, or rainy mid-season conditions.
Sleep ergonomics and pleasant touch
To ensure a truly restful sleep, this model features an internal lining made of 190T pongee, a fabric that eliminates the cold, plastic feel often criticized in entry-level sleeping bags. The adjustable draft collar effectively traps warm air around the shoulders. It is a comfortable sleeping bag that is easy to maintain.
170T water-repellent silk-effect polyester fabric
The 170T silk-effect polyester outer fabric combines a soft feel with a water-repellent finish that protects the synthetic filling from light surface moisture (condensation, dew), a relevant feature for camping sleeping bags used in vans or fixed tents. The 170T weight remains consistent with static use where abrasion resistance is less of a concern than in trekking.
650g fill for a temperature range of 4°C / -1°C
The synthetic hollow cotton filling weighs 650 g, a mass of material that explains the bag's total weight (2.2 kg) and the temperature range it covers. This fill density is sized for static use where weight is not the primary constraint for this warm sleeping bag.
However, if you plan to carry your equipment for several days and are looking for similar insulation but with half the weight thanks to natural down, the technical design of the Naturehike Snowbird SP400 will meet this exact requirement for lightness.

The Naturehike MJ300 has a comfort temperature of 4°C and a lower limit temperature of -1°C, measured to the ISO 23537 / GB/T 38426-2019 standard. These values apply under standard conditions: sleeper in thermal base layers, on an insulated sleeping mat. It is designed for hiking, bivouacking, camping, vanlife use (3 seasons).
The Naturehike MJ300 is filled with synthetic hollow fiber. Synthetic insulation keeps insulating when damp, dries quickly and needs no special care — suited to changeable conditions or family trips. The Naturehike MJ300 weighs 2200 g, which places it in the standard category.
A 3-season sleeping bag is designed for spring, summer and autumn. Its comfort temperature sits between 0°C and +5°C, which covers most wild camps in France up to 2,500 m outside winter conditions. In winter or above 2,500 m, a dedicated cold-weather bag is needed.
A 3-season bag is suited to night-time temperatures between roughly 0°C and +15°C. Below 0°C, thermal comfort is no longer assured without extra equipment (liner, additional sleepwear). Above +15°C, most sleepers will find the bag too warm: venting through the foot zip helps regulate.
For the vast majority of walkers and trekkers in France (GR20, GR5, Tour du Mont Blanc from June to September), a 3-season bag with a 0°C comfort rating is sufficient. A 4-season bag is only needed above 3,000 m outside summer, in winter conditions, or for exposed high-altitude wild camps in autumn.
